AQUA di cara

The facial tonic was specially developed to optimally support the effect of the genio serums. Ultrasound needs a water solution to work. The moisture the base, the better the ultrasound works.

What is genio SMART SKIN TECHNOLOGY?

Genio is a skin care treatment which combines the newest technologies in a handheld ultrasound light therapy device and state-of-the-art and sophisticated serums for keeping the skin young or treating aged skin for optimal results. The new technology features a unique combination of ultrasound, blue and red light therapy, and active serums. The highly professional effect is based on the interaction between the technique and agents of the serums. Due to their precise molecular sizes and polarity, the active ingredients are transported into the various layers of the skin to the exact point where they are needed. A result that standard cosmetic treatments are unable to achieve.

Genio results from more than 20 years of experience and developments in skincare technology and serums.

Can I use the genio device without serums?

Not really! genio concept consists of two components: the serums, which include highly effective active ingredients and the device, which delivers the technique to transport these active ingredients into the skin and support natural recreation. Additionally, ultrasound needs a water-based environment to work effectively. Our serums are specially made for this. The agents will be transported into the deep skin layers with the device. The genio serums are at the very heart of genio success.

What contraindication exists concerning genio?

During pregnancy on the belly – You are able to use genio during pregnancy to treat the face and the décolletage. Do not use in the abdomen area while pregnant.

Assumption of skin cancer
If there is any possibility that the skin is affected with skin cancer, genio must not be used. A negative effect is not proven but we would advise caution. Once any skin cancer has been successfully removed, it is safe to continue with your genio treatment. genio can treat scar tissue and gives the skin back its vitality.

Pacemaker
Please do not treat in the immediate area surrounding a pacemaker. It is no problem to treat in the face or the rest of the body. The current which flows during the treatment is no danger for the pacemaker.

How long will I need to use it to start seeing a difference in my skin?

You should start to feel the difference almost immediately. From the very first treatment, your skin’s blood circulation is improved making it look brighter and feel smoother. After a couple of weeks of regular use, coarse pores are diminished, smaller lines start to vanish and the depth of larger wrinkles is reduced.

We recommend using genio 2 -3 times a week for visible success. Of course it is possible to treat every day in order to have a faster success.
This can be compared to doing sports. It is good to do sports once a week. If you do it 2 or 3 times a week it is even better and you get fit quicker. It is the same with genio.
Please do not treat one area for longer than 10 minutes a day as the skin cells need time to regenerate and the skin mustn’t be overstrained.

Where on my body can I use genio?

You can use genio anywhere and everywhere that you have skin, except on the eyeballs. The ultrasound frequency has an average of 3 MHz (3.000.000 vibrations per second). This frequency easily reach into the dermis of the skin.
When treating the face it is important to take the cranial bones as a border so that the eyeball is not touched by the transducer. It is very important not to treat on the eyeball as it could be harmful to the eye.

It is important to know that the frequency comes only from the round part between the lights of the transducer head and not from the sides of it. Please ensure that this round part always touches the skin during the treatment in order to reduce any risk of the ‘emission’ going anywhere other than into the skin.

Can I use genio with different cosmetics?

The genio effect is based on the use of innovative, highly developed and sophisticated serums. Due to their precise molecular size and polarity the active ingredients are transported into the various layers of the skin to the exact point where they are needed. 

Conventional cosmetics are traditionally applied to the skin using the finger tips and are only absorbed by the upper skin layer. However, the roots of skin ageing and other skin problems are found deeper inside the skin. Much deeper, in skin and tissue layers that conventional cosmetics cannot reach. Genio allows to transports valuable active ingredients deep into the skin using a transducer which produces threee million soft vibrations per second. Innovative bio-molecular preparations made of thermal, mechanic and physiochemical components result in a highly complex effect in their combination with the genio device. 

For this reason, it is very important that no other cosmetics, other than the genio serums are used with the device. 

We highly advise against the use of other cosmetics in combination with the genio device and accept no liability for results when using cosmetics or medicines produced by others.

10 minutes seems like a long treatment time.

A treatment once a week is enough in order to achieve a visible effect. Your skin’s blood circulation is improved making it look brighter and smoother.
The moisture reserves inside your skin are filled up and as a consequence the skin feels firmer. The skin and the cells are stimulated and the skin feels plumper. 

We have tried many different timeslots. The 10 minute duration for one treatment reaching the entire face and neck area appeared as the best and optimal length and results. 

genio can fit in with the time you have available for the treatment. And remember, you don’t have to do the treatment in front of the mirror. Use the time and listen to music, watch TV, read or just relax.

How often I can use genio?

In order to get faster results, you should treat 2-3 times a week. When you first start the genio treatment your skin needs the active ingredients inside the serums and regular treatments will noticeably improve the skin quality. Please do not use genio more than 10 minutes on one area of the skin a day.

Is the price worth it?

At what time (morning – evening) should I use genio?

It is best to treat in the evening before going to bed. Leave the serums on your skin after the treatment as a kind of night mask. The serums then have the function of a night cream and gives the upper skin layers valuable nourishing ingredients.
If you treat in the morning, please massage after the treatment the rest of the serum by adding more ‘acqua die cara’ on it with your fingers over your face and neck. After, apply your usual skin care

Can anyone use genio?

Usually yes. From babies to older people genio can be used by anyone, but we recommend starting with the genio treatment not before 20.
The target group for anti-ageing begins at around the age of 30 where still the key is prevention rather than cure!
When getting older, deep wrinkles are formed and other physical deficiencies start to show.

My skin feels a little tight after use, is it ok to apply my usual moisturiser?

That is absolutely fine. Once you have finished using genio, leave the the rest of the serum on the skin and apply your usual moisturizer.

How do I know if my genio is working properly?

After switching on the device, you will recognize a slight vibration and the light therapy swich on. After 5 minutes, you have reached the half of the treatment time, the vibration will become a bit more intensive. The light therapy will work in a permanent change of lights. Every minute the light change from red to blue.

Is it hygienic to use the device with more people?

It is absolutely fine to use genio together with other people and indeed many families share the genio handset on a regular basis. The genio handset is hygienically sealed and once the serum is wiped off the transducer, it is perfectly clean and ready for another user. It is also possible to disinfect the transducer with a hygienic spray.

I seem to be getting through my gel really quickly, how much should I be using?

When your skin ages and the first wrinkles or lines appear, the reasons are predominantly genetic. Environmental effects or behavioral factors such as smoking or stress, can also lead to an early deterioration of your skin.

However, skin-ageing is the result of another important factor – the permanent degradation of the hyaluronic acid in the skin. Hyaluronic acid is actually the moisture reservoir of your skin. It stabilizes the elastic and collagenous fibers and protects our cells against free radicals. If you have ever seen dried earth pervaded by cracks, you can imagine what happens to our skin when its water reservoirs are empty: lines and wrinkles appear.

When you start using genio, your moisture reserves are often empty. With genio you start to refill them. At the beginning of the treatment the skin needs this moisture and will absorb it quicker, using greater quantities of the serum. With the time you will see that the reserves are filling up and you need less and less.

Please use the ‘acqua di cara’ for every treatment. By using ‘acqua di cara’ you will use less serums and add more important vitamins and additional benefits to the treatment and the serums will last longer on your skin.

I have heard that devices with 1 MHz ultrasound frequency shouldn’t be used on the face, 3 MHz are better?

This is absolutely right. With 3 MHz the intensity is much higher than but it doesn’t penetrates as deep. 1 MHz can penetrate the body up to 2-3 cm. 3 MHz works only down to 1 cm and reaches all the necessary layer for the skin. The power focus is directly inside the skin levels.

I have metal implants. Can I use genio?

We have no concerns regarding the use of genio with dental implants as well as every conceivable type of metal implants, including metal plates, screws or metal wire (after surgery, fractures). Ultrasound and the light therapy should not affect the implants.

Do the genio serums have animal components or are they tested on animals?

No. The serums hasn’t been tested on animals and also do not have any animal components. The hyaluronic acid is made from fermentation and not from any animal derivatives.

I have got hyaluronic acid injections. Does the genio treatment lead to a quicker reduction of the injections?

In the best case, genio should replace your injections. It is evident within a few weeks that the consistent and correct use of genio shows the same effect as these injections but without the need for repeated injections.

For these injections, usually cross-linked hyaluronic acid is used. So partial regions are affected. There is always a self-contained reduction of hyaluronic acid. The reduction will start earlier with genio treatments, but again it is the target to replace the injections with genio treatments.

What happens if the serum gets in my eyes?

Don’t worry, nothing terrible will happen but it might sting a bit. Just wash the serum out with plenty of water.
